Former Flying Eagles striker Kehinde Fatai was on target for his Romanian side Sparta Prague as they beat Russian club Kuban Krasnodar in the Uefa Europa League on Thursday.
Fatai scored his side’s third goal as Sparta Prague romped to a 3-0 away victory to win the tie 4-0 on aggregate.
Lukas Marecek set the Czech side on their way with a well-taken goal in the 51st minute before Martin Frydek made it 2-0 five minutes later.
The 26-year-old Nigerian, who was part of the Flying Eagles squad to Egypt 2009, scored Sparta’s third goal on 71 minutes to complete the rout and send Sparta into the next round.
He had already picked up a booking in the 64th minute before he scored but it did not put a dent in performance as his goal glossed his performance on the night.
Fatai has been in fine form for the Czech top-flight
